Our Mission

There are literally thousands of software applications and "office productivity" software tools currently on the market promising to make you and business more highly effective and efficient.   While this may certainly be true in the long-run, there are two most important steps that must be taken to get you there.  The first is to find the right packages, install the software on your PC, configure it for your needs, and train yourself on its operation.  The second step is to conform your business procedures to the requirements of the software, entering data in the ways dictated by the screens and making good use of the reports printed out.  These steps can be a very time-consuming and rather painful process for any individual or company.

Our mission is to help you greatly shorten this one to six month process of transition and change.  As with most tasks, there is a hard way and an easy way to do them.   Based on our experience, we can take you down the easier path of installation, implementation, and training that fits your particular needs.  The software can be configured to do what you want, how you want to do things and customized to the operations and requirements of your particular business.

In addition, if the software available on the market does not meet your needs, we have the expertise to create your own specialized databases and customized software.  The databases can be built in either SQL Server or in Access and the software can be written with the latest technologies available from Microsoft - VB.NET, Access, Visual FoxPro, and Visual Studio.  Websites complete with interactive databases can be designed and implemented for external Internet access and internal intranet use.

Company Profile

After attaining a BS at Purdue University and going on to earn an MBA at the University of Utah,  I served as a Captain in the Air Force stationed at Boeing Field developing the AWACS software. 

In 1985, I founded and managed a software development company which became the leader in telecommunications management software.  I worked one-on-one with over a hundred companies over the years analyzing their needs and recommending and developing appropriate software solutions.  IntegraTRAK was then acquired by a large telecommunications company in Europe. 

I founded Acadia Consulting in 1997, with over 30 years of experience in computer systems consulting and software development.  We have trained users both personally and in classroom settings to increase their proficiency in using their PCs and software tools.  When "packaged" solutions do not totally meet the needs of the company, we have customized them to be accurate and effective solutions for our clients.
